Work Shadow
If you know the career path you want to take but are unsure of the best route for your personality or skillset, job shadowing is for you. MavensWood and its Portfolio companies offer unparalleled Work Shadow experience and can ask questions and learn new skills.
Work Shadowing is an unpaid experiential learning experience which gives you the opportunity to observe or converse with a professional in a job role/sector of interest to you. As such you will not be in receipt of a salary for the time spent with an organisation.
Who Can Apply
Graduate or Post-graduates
Graduates or Post-Graduates who want to take part in work shadowing either as part of their course credit or to gain experience.
High School Leavers
If you are completing a high-school or higher course and as a part of your coursework you need to have work shadow experience.
Career Returners
We particularly welcome career returners and women who had taken a break and want to restart their career.

It’s a great idea to shadow someone in a role you aspire towards, as it will give you a better understanding of the qualities and skills required to do well within that position. Job shadowing at work allows you to try out different jobs without committing to something that doesn’t suit you. It’s also easier to change careers at a young age.
